London Art Classes - Children's Scholarship Portfolio Preparation

We can help prepare a portfolios for children who would like to apply for an art scholarship or bursary at one of London or the UK’s elite Private Schools in our Children's Art Tuition sessions.

Art Scholarships are often offered for students entering year 7, year 9 or the lower sixth - we can help your child prepare a portfolio at any of these points.

Private School Scholarship Portfolio Preparation - What We Do

We start by looking at the work your child has produced at school, identifying interests and a way of working that is unique to them.

From this we will develop activities that allow your child to experiment with a range of art materials, producing interesting work that communicates their unique way of seeing the world. We will also develop their skills so that they can produce a range of drawings and paintings. Assistance with photography, animation and three dimensional work is also possible.

Good quality art materials will be provided as part of the tuition fees so that your child can produce their very best work.

We will also look at artists who fit in with your child’s way of working, discuss how their work is made and the ideas behind it, and incorporate this inspiration into your child’s work. London galleries and exhibitions will also be recommended to build your child’s knowledge of the art world.

Most portfolios will need to be submitted digitally, and we can photograph your child’s work so that it can be viewed at its very best by selectors.

Assistance with written statements can also be given along with preparation for interview - helping your child communicate their work and inspiration with confidence.

Above all we want your child to enjoy making art, so all this is done in a fun and age appropriate way.

Private School Scholarship Portfolio Preparation - Location

We can hold sessions at our London studio, (although it is recommended that a parent or guardian is present), as this offers a unique experience to work in a professional artist’s studio. It may be possible to arrange sessions at your home although this will depend where in London you are based. Online tuition is also possible for international students.

Sessions are arranged for a mutually convenient time and date. Please make an initial enquiry via email - contact@londonartclasses.com
